Saskatchewan signs third #CFC100 recruit (VIDEO)

Regina quarterback joins CWUAA team’s 2016 class

The Saskatchewan Huskies have strengthened their hold over provincial #CFC100 recruits.

Recently, the Huskies landed their third #CFC100 recruit with the signing of Mason Nyhus.  The 6’2, 195 pound quarterback from Regna, Saskatchewan will join the team for the 2016 CWUAA season.

In addition to Nyhus, defensive end/linebacker Nicholas Dheilly and defensive lineman Nathan Cherry are the other #CFC100 recruits that have signed with the Huskies.

Overall, there were too many reasons why Nyhus couldn’t say no to the Huskies.

“I chose to go to University of Saskatchewan because it was a good fit for me,” explained Nyhus of his decision.  “I like the coaching staff and the playbook.”

“Also, it’s a nice place for me to stay close to home. They did a great job on recruiting this year and I want to be a part of a winning program. Saskatchewan also gives me good educational opportunities based on the faculties I’m interested in.”

The pivot comes to the Huskies after completing his career with Riffel Royals of the Regina Intercollegiate Football League (RIFL).  Moreover, Nyhus has represented his province and nationally as a member of the provincial under-16 Team North Saskatchewan, under-18 Team Saskatchewan and Team Canada under-18 squads.
