Standout St. Michael’s College School Kerry Blues lineman John Sawicki commits to the McMaster Marauders. The 6’5’’, 310 lb. offensive tackle was widely sought after among many CIS but chose McMaster.
Playing his entire high school career at St. Michael’s and most of his minor football with the Toronto Junior Argonauts, John hopes to make an impact with the perennial Vanier Cup contender. An offensive lineman with good size and excellent fundamentals, John is more than comfortable opening holes for his team’s running backs.
John is the recent winner of the SMC Bill O’Connor trophy as the Kerry Blues lineman of the year. He is set to graduate from the prestigious independent high school in Toronto, with honour roll standing and he has been admitted to the Business program at McMaster.
John credits his involvement with the sport of football and the Kerry Blues with giving him all of the tools necessary for success at the next level. Proud of the SMC brotherhood, John will bring a rich tradition with him to the McMaster University.
