Scarborough recruit heading to Nation’s Capital (VIDEO)

Scarborough offensive lineman recently signs with OUA team.

There was a mutual interest between Riley Fischer and the Ottawa Gee-Gees.

As a result, the 6’1, 280 pound offensive lineman (centre) from Scarborough, Ontario has committed to the team.  Fischer will join the Gee-Gees for the 2015 OUA season.

“I picked Ottawa because it’s a team that’s on the up rise and currently rebuilding,” explained Fischer of his decision.  “They also were very interested in me and I was very interested in them.”

“I love the city of Ottawa.   Also when talking to Coach [Jamie] Barresi, he said that I will be able to contribute in my first year and do a lot in my second year. I also enjoy the academics of the school. I want to join the Telfer School of Business.”
