Flattered by attention

London offensive standout newest recruit to join OUA team’s 2014 class.

After actively being courted, Ben Shanley was so flattered by the attention that he simply could not deny it any longer.

Consequently, the 6’3, 170 pound wide receiver/long snapper from London, Ontario has committed to the Waterloo Warriors for the 2014 OUA season.

“During the recruiting process, Coach Nial Both and the rest of the Waterloo staff were very supportive and showed a lot of interest,” commented Shanley.  “On my two visits to the school I learned a lot about the program.”

“They stressed academics, a family-like atmosphere and a receiver-friendly offense. Ultimately, I felt like Waterloo was a great fit for me and I am excited to join them.”

Shanley comes to the Warriors after completing his high school career with London Central Golden Ghosts of the Thames Valley Regional Athletic Association (TVRAA). Additionally, he suited up for the Forest City Thunderbirds of the Ontario Football Conference (OFC).
