TORONTO — Adam Bighill, Bryant Mitchell and Mike Reilly were named the Shaw CFL Top Performers of the Week for Week 18 of the CFL’s 2018 season.
The three players were chosen by a panel of judges who independently send their selections to the CFL head office. The panel includes former Canadian Football League players Matt Dunigan and Duane Forde of TSN and Pierre Vercheval of RDS.

LB | ADAM BIGHILL | WINNIPEG BLUE BOMBERS
Linebacker Adam Bighill led the Winnipeg Blue Bombers to a 31-0 romp over the Saskatchewan Roughriders on Saturday, placing them one step closer to the playoffs.
Bighill made eight defensive tackles, including three quarterback sacks, for a loss of 18 yards. He also forced a fumble.
Following a forced fumble as he tackled Kyran Moore and caused the ball to pop out to teammate Anthony Gaitor, Bighill’s first sack of the game came in the second quarter when he took down quarterback Zach Collaros for a five-yard loss.
In his third season with 100+ tackles, Bighill sacked Collaros again at the top of the third quarter, this time for a loss of eight yards. His final sack occurred in the fourth quarter, taking quarterback Brandon Bridge to the ground for another loss of five yards.
Bighill was previously named a Shaw Top Performer in Weeks 4 and 9. He leads the defence chart with 101 defensive tackles.
REC | BRYANT MITCHELL | EDMONTON ESKIMOS
Wide receiver Bryant Mitchell helped Edmonton to a miraculous 34-16 second-half victory over the Ottawa REDBLACKS on Saturday evening.
Mitchell collected 190 receiving yards and a big touchdown on 13 receptions in the contest.
In the second quarter, Mitchell caught three passes (for 14, five and nine yards respectively) as part of an 11-play drive that gave teammate C.J. Gable a touchdown.
The San Diego, California native got a major of his own in the fourth quarter, taking an 18-yard pass from Mike Reilly another 57 yards into the end zone for a big 75-yard play.
In his third CFL season, Mitchell has 653 receiving yards and two touchdowns on 46 receptions.
QB | MIKE REILLY | EDMONTON ESKIMOS
Mike Reilly led Edmonton a comeback home victory on Saturday night against the Ottawa REDBLACKS, keeping his team in the playoff race.
Reilly passed for 369 yards, including one touchdown pass. He added another 72 yards on the ground.
After a slow start to the game, Reilly led Edmonton to 541 yards of net offence, as well as 20 points in the second half.
In the fourth quarter, Reilly threw his lone touchdown pass of the game, a 75-yard touchdown pass to Bryant Mitchell.
Reilly was a Shaw Top Performer in Weeks 1, 7, 10 and 13 as well as a Top Performer of the Month in both June and August. He leads all quarterbacks with 4,974 passing yards. He has 28 passing touchdowns and 12 rushing.

What is the program?
The Shaw CFL Top Performers recognizes weekly and monthly player achievement in the CFL and is separate from our year end awards.
How does it work?
Each week and month during the CFL Regular Season a panel of CFL experts vote on the three top CFL Performers across the league in order. Those players are awarded points for each time they win.
Then we throw it out to you, the fans, to Retweet our Twitter posts announcing the winners. The player with the most Retweets will receive extra points and be crowned the Shaw Fan’s Choice of the Week. Remember, once the next Week begins voting ends; so get your RTs in fast!
