SIX CHEETAH ALUMNI SHARE IN GREY CUP GLORY
PLUS ONE EX-CHEETAH CAME CLOSE PLAYING FOR SASKATCHEWAN
[HR][/HR] Congratulations to the six Cheetahs Football Alumni who were part of the 2010 Grey Cup winning Montreal Alouettes. Four of them are repeat Grey Cup winners from last year’s team. There was also a Cheetah alum on the Saskatchewan Roughriders.

Danny Desriveaux is a wide receiver who has played for the Als since 2007. While at Vanier, Danny was a one of our best pass receivers, playing with another star receiver Kevin Challenger from around 2000-2002, both of them catching passes from QB Jabari Arthur. (Arthur and Challenger both went on to play professionally, as well.) |

Paul Lambert is a long-time centre with the Als who was on the injury list during the 2010 Grey Cup victory. Paul has been an integral part of the powerful Alouettes offensive line since 2003. Currently injured, he was recently thrust into the pivotal role of centre this year with the retirement of Brian Chiu. |

Shawn Mayne is a defensive end for the Als who also was injured during the Grey Cup match. After playing college football at UConn, Shawn was drafted by the Hamilton Tiger-Cats in the 2006 CFL Draft. He was acquired by Montreal through a trade with Winnipeg and has played here since then. |

Kristian Matte was a 2010 CFL Draft first-round pick when he was signed by the Als in May. He played eight games with the Concordia Stingers in 2009, garnering CIS second-team All-Star and Quebec Conference All-Star honours. |

Marc-Olivier Brouillette was a top quarterback while with the Cheetahs. He is currently playing for the Als as a linebacker. This was his first Grey Cup appearence and his first win. In just his second game in an Alouettes uniform against the BC Lions, Marco did something he never thought heβd be able to do when playing quarterback for the U of M Carabins just last summer – intercept a pass. |

Obed CΓ©toute is playing as a receiver for the Saskatchewan Roughriders. Obed played college ball at Central Michigan before being drafted by Toronto where he played until moving to Sakatchewan in 2010. This is his 3rd season in the CFL and his first appearence in a Grey Cup match. |

Jean-Marc Edme is a Defensive Assistant and Football Operations Assistant with the Als. He is currently working closely with Defensive Coordinator Tim Burke on all aspects of the defensive game plan as well as assisting Defensive Line Coach Michael Sinclair. |
