Huskies bring in to Toronto-area commits.
The Saint Maryās University Huskies have picked up some size on their offensive line after Spencer Lambier, an offensive lineman from the Sir Wilfrid Laurier Collegiate Institute and Tyler Clucas-Warren, a left tackle from Vanier College, signed with the team.
Spencer Lambier
Spencer Lambier has spent his life in the Greater Toronto Area. The product of Scarborough, Ontario, was drawn to the east coast though because of the Huskies āexcellent coaching staff, stellar education programs and great football program.ā The future social science student added that the coaches are āexcellent, caring and driven for success.ā
Lambier is 6ā4, 270lbs and has played with the Laurier CI Blue Devils (Toronto District Secondary School Athlete Association) and the Scarborough Thunder (OVFL) in his four-year career. In 2016, he was an OVFL rookie of the year.
Tyler Clucas-Warren
Like Lambier, Tyler Clucas-Warren, who hails from Toronto, Ontario, will be exchanging the hustle and bustle of the GTA for Halifax, Nova Scotia. āI chose Saint Mary’s University as it was the best option for me academically and for football as I knew a lot of people that signed there and going to the school would be a good fit for me,ā he said, added that he is interested in criminology.
With familiar faces in the locker room, the 6ā7, 340lbs athlete has yet to hear a negative review of the Huskies. āI never heard any bad things out of anyoneās mouths about Saint Maryās coaching staff, only good things,ā he said.
In his career, he as played with the Vanier Cheetahs (RSEQ Division 1) and the Scarborough Thunder. When he reaches the U Sports level, he will have a bit of a chip on his shoulder. āIāve never won a championship with any school Iāve been with besides my summer league football team, the Scarborough Thunder,ā he said. āSo, hopefully me coming to SMU, I will be able to bring one (to the school.)ā
Advocating for football prospects one story at a time.
