SMU signs Edmonton recruit

Edmonton defensive back joins AUS team’s 2015 class.

Saint Mary’s Huskies have announced the addition of Levi Sim to their football program.

The 6’2, 190 pound defensive back from Edmonton, Alberta will join the team for the 2015 AUS season.

“We are extremely happy to add a student athlete like Levi to the SMU football family,” commented Huskies Head Coach Perry Marchese.

Recently, Sim completed a stint with Edmonton Wildcats of the Prairie Football Conference (PFC) of the Canadian Junior Football Conference (CJFL).  Previous to the Wildcats, the defensive back suited up for Austin O’Brien Crusaders of the Alberta Schools Athletic Association (ASAA).

“I’ve heard good things about the school and football program from friends currently on the team also former alumni players,” said Sim of his commitment to the Huskies.  “It’s always a good experience to get out of your comfort zone and it doesn’t get any crazier than going cross country.”
