South of the Border: CFC100 QB Drew Viotto has a change on plans with new NCAA commitment

  • This past week, Class of 2023 CFC100 QB Drew Viotto drew his biggest offer yet from the Minnesota Golden Gophers. The Big Ten offer prompted Viotto to decommit from Eastern Michigan to commit to Minnesota.

U SPORTS/NCAA COMMITS

  • DT Brent Urban signed with the Baltimore Ravens this week. The 6’7”, 295lbs defensive lineman goes back to the team that originally drafted him back in 2014 in the fourth round. Since then, he has played for the Ravens, the Titans, the Bears, and the Cowboys and put up a total of 107 tackles, 6 sacks, and nine PBUs in his NFL career.

U SPORTS/NCAA CONSIDERATIONS

  • Going into his redshirt sophomore season, CFC100 OT Deondre Doiron has decided to transfer from Buffalo to Kansas. As a redshirt freshman in 2021, he was the Bulls starting right tackle. The 6’4”, 285lbs blocker garnered lots of interest in the portal, but ultimately settled on joint the Jayhawks in the Big 12.

  • Days after appearing on national television at the CFC Prospect Game on TSN, Class of 2024 OL Everett Small out of Clarkson Football North has received his first NCAA offer from Eastern Michigan. It will be the first of many for the Hamilton native, who’s expected to receive a couple more in the upcoming weeks.
