  • DT Christian Covington signed with the LA Chargers this week, bringing the team’s Canadian count to a league-leading 5 players, with him, CB Tevaughn Campbell, CFC100 WR Josh Palmer, CFC100 LB Amen Ogbongbemiga, and OL Ryan Hunter all being on the roster currently. Covington’s coming off a strong season with the Bengals in which he started 14 games and had 39 tackles.

NCAA OFFERS

  • Ohio graduate and BC Lions quarterback CFC100 Nathan Rourke has spent this past weekend working as a tryout receiver at the New York Giants Rookie Mini-Camp. The 6’1”, 205lbs 3-time All-MAC player was one of college football’s best quarterbacks during his time in Athens, and he’s looking to keep pushing his NFL dream. The dual-threat QB passed for 7,457 yards and 60 TDs over 3 years in the MAC, while adding 2,634 rushing yards and 49 TDs on the ground. Julian Edelman transition inbound? Maybe not, because he also just signed a CFL contract with the B.C. Lions who selected him 15th overall in the 2020 draft.

NCAA COMMITS

  • CFC100 OT Alessandro Lorenzetti picked up his 18th offer from Baylor this week, putting him at a tie with CFC100 Kenzy Le Paul for most offers in the 2022 class. Sleeper CFC100 LB Jude Buchanan also picked up his first D1 offer from Stony Brook University. Finally, CFC60 OT Tyrone Webber hit the double-digit offer mark, reeling in two new offers this week from Louisiana and Eastern Kentucky.
