Itβs been a while, but Iβm glad to be back and running the South of the Border series, where we highlight Canadian football stories happening in the U.S., whether it be offers, news, or performances. Without further ado, letβs begin by highlighting the performances of our very own Canucks at the NFL Combine!

The representation was led by CFC40 #1, CFC100 Class of 2019 TE Theo Johnson out of Penn State. The 6β6β, 259lbs tight end ran a 4.57 40-yard dash, 4.19 shuttle, and 7.15 3-cone. He also jumped 39.5 inches on the vertical and 10β5β on the broad jump. This historical combine performance made him the first ever tight end over 255lbs to break 4.6 and jump over 39 inches on the vertical.

The second Canadian passport holder in the tight end group, CFC40 #5, CFC100 Class of 2017 TE Tanner McLachlan out of Arizona. The former walk-on transfer from Southern Utah came in at 6β5β, 244lbs and was also a strong tester. McLachlan ran a 4.61 40, while jumping 35 inches on the vertical and 9β9β on the broad jump.

The combine group was rounded out by two prolific NCAA offensive linemen, 6β4β, 315lbs CFC100 Class of 2018 OL Isaiah Adams out of Illinois, and 6β8β, 353lbs CFC40 Class of 2024 OL Anim Dankwah out of Howard. CFC40 #2 Adams, the former Wilfrid Laurier Golden Hawk, ran a 5.22 40-yard dash, 4.73 shuttle, and 7.77 3-cone. The blocker also jumped 24.5 inches on his vertical, 8β6β on his broad, and put up 22 reps of 225 on the bench press. Dankwah, the Ghana native who grew up in Brampton, Ontario, jumped 27.5 inches on the vertical and put up 24 reps on the bench press, while being the largest OL in attendance, exhibiting solid explosiveness and strength for a man of his stature.
Advocating for football prospects one story at a time.
