Calgary offensive standout newest recruit to join CWUAA team’s 2014 class

The Spoletini family has had a long history with one CWUAA team.

Now, Giancarlo Spoletini will be the fourth generation in his family to play for the Calgary Dinos.Β  The 6’2, 180 pound offensive standout recently committed to the Dinos for the 2014 CWUAA season.

β€œMy family has a history with the Calgary Dinos as my uncle, dad and cousin have all played here,” explained the Calgary, Alberta native.Β  β€œAlso, my family lives in Calgary so it was my first choice to stay here and play for my hometown team.”

β€œThe Dinos are a great organization with an excellent head coach and coaching staff.Β  They are one of the best teams in the country and I’m proud to be a part of this program!Β  I know playing with the Dinos I will get outstanding coaching and it will help me improve as a football player.”

Spoletini comes to the Dinos after playing for his high school team, Rundle Cobras of the Alberta Schools Athletic Association (ASAA).Β Β  Moreover, he suited up for community team, Calgary Cowboys.Β  During his career, Spoletini has played at both the wide receiver and slotback positions.
