Laval brings in another local commit to their Class of 2017.
Mathieu Savard, a defensive back from CΓ©gep Garneau, will be sticking to familiar surroundings after signing with the University of Laval Rouge et Or.
For Savard, it all boiled down to one thing, should he stay in his hometown or venture out to a new location? He told Le Journal de QuΓ©bec that while he was interested in studying in English at McGill, he decided to stay in his home of QuΓ©bec City to stay with his family.
Standing at 6β0, 200lbs, he spent two years with Les Γlans de CΓ©gep Garneau (RSEQ Division 1). In high school, he played with les Condors de Saint-Jean-Eudes. He will be taking Kinesiology at Laval.
