StFX adds a provincial commit to their 2019 class.
Aidan Mercer, a fullback from Citadel High School, wonβt be the first member of his family to call himself an X-Man.
βI have a lot of family that are alumni of the university,β Mercer said. βThey were (also) the first school to contact me about playing for them. The coaching staff has been great.β
Mercer, who is 5β9, 210lbs, added that the X-Men have gotten him onto their strength and conditioning program.
Mercer is from Halifax, Nova Scotia, where he played with the Citadel Phoenix (NSSAFFL) for the past three seasons. He is a three-time provincial champion and is interested in taking either business or art in university.
