Stingers bring big receiver home to Loyola

Head coach Mickey Donovan is pleased to welcome wide receiver Nick Van Aelst of St. Paul’s School in Concord, N.H. to the Concordia Stingers football program.
“We are thrilled to have Nicholas as part of the Stinger family,” Donovan said. “He has great height and speed. He’s going to help make camp even more competitive for our receivers. Also, it’s great to have a Loyola (high school) grad back playing on his home field.”
Van Aelst, who checks in a six foot three and 205 pounds, was an exceptional athlete at Loyola High School before heading south to play football and hockey for St. Paul’s the last two seasons.
The Dorval, Que. native has been clocked at a 4.7 in the 40.
Donovan travelled to Concord, N.H. last week to meet Van Aelst and participate in a signing ceremony. The Stingers staff has great respect for the quality of football at St. Paul’s. Second-year quarterback Colin Sequeira is also a St. Paul’s graduate.
Van Aelst, Sequeira and the rest of the team will report to training camp in mid-August.

Advocating for football prospects one story at a time.
