CEGEP receiver recently signs with RSEQ team.
There was never a doubt where Samuel Phaneuf wanted to begin his CIS career.
Recently, the 6’1, 191 pound receiver from Ste-Julie, Quebec signed with the Concordia Stingers. Phaneuf will join the team for the 2015 RSEQ season.
“Concordia was my first choice because I really liked the connection the coaches had between them and their players,” elaborated Phaneuf of his decision. “Their players are like their own child and I really like that relation.”
“Other than that, some of my old teammates are playing at Concordia and they said that it was the place to be. After my first visit, I quickly realized that it was really the place to be, the energy of coaches and players was special and I wanted to be a part of this big family. #stingerpride”
Phaneuf completed his CEGEP career with Division 1 team, Edouard-Montpetit Lynx. He began his gridiron career at the age of 12 with St. Bruno Barons.
