Team Quebec selection camp takes place this weekend in Laval (roster)

In March over 400 athletes attended four evaluation camps (Montreal, Quebec City and Sherbrooke) presented by Adidas, in the hope of representing Quebec at the 2011 Under 18 Football Canada Cup taking place this July 9 to 16 in Lethbridge, Alberta.

The final selection camp will see 120 athletes vie for the ‘top 50’ that will be brought to training camp June 1st to 7th. The camp will be held at College Letendre (100, rue de l’Avenir, Laval, Montmorency metro).

Marc Loranger is the head coach of the team for the 6th season in a row. He led Quebec to gold medals in 2006 and 2008.

Other staff members include Benoit Groulx – offensive coordinator (Bishop’s), Luc Pelland – defensive coordinator (Concordia), Brad Collinson (Laval), Spiro Feradouros (Concordia), Claude Juneau (Montreal), and Hugo Girard (McGill).
