The coaching carousel in the RSEQ continues, Groulx will not return as McGill’s OC

According to the Journal de Quebec, Benoit Groulx has decided not to return as offensive coordinator for the McGill Redmen.

It is said that Head Coach Ron Hilaire had offered to extend his contract for another season, but Groulx declined siting that his family was his priority at this time. He states that he is not concerned about finding another football job when the time is right or the right program comes calling.

Hilaire was making some changes and proposed that Groulx and David Lessard, former University of Sherbrooke head coach, share the offensive coordinating duties. With Groulx declining, Lessard will assume the full role of offensive coordinator at this time.
