Former Sioux linebacker Curtis Dublanko became an official member of the Montreal Alouettes on Monday after signing a two-year deal with the defending Grey Cup champions of the Canadian Football League.

Dublanko closed out his collegiate career at UND this past season, registering 42 tackles in seven starts. He was a second round pick by the Alouettes in the 2010 CFL Draft.

“I’m just really excited to finally be a member of the Montreal Alouettes,” Dublanko, who has been negotiating with the club since January, said. “Now, I’m just training to get ready for the June training camp. There is no spring football this year for me, so a little longer offseason, about a six-month offseason, so a lot of training and conditioning to ready before it.”

Advocating for football prospects one story at a time.
