Thoughts after week 2!

So, a pretty crazy thunderstorm ran through the Ottawa area tonight. After trying to wait it out, we reluctantly had to cancel practice. You never really want to have to shorten your week of practice because mother nature decides not to cooperate. On the bright side, it gave me the opportunity to get back online and get another blog up here.

Well, we’re 2 games into the season, and I have to say I am pretty pleased with our results. A 2-0 start is always something to be happy about, and my questions about joining the Junior ranks have been eased a bit. The game is a challenge as I expected, but I have been put into a great offensive system, and playing with a defence that hasn’t allowed a point in two weeks makes things pretty easy. Lets be honest, you can never complain about being able to put up over 500 yards offence in one football game.

I spent the rest of my weekend keeping an eye on the always entertaining CIS action across the country. Spent Sunday watching my brother and his Redmen teammates take on Laval. The final outcome wasn’t exactly what we’d hoped for but in the first half they definitely showed that they can play with any team in the country. Was disappointed to see my friend and fellow blogger go down with an injury in the McGill game. JC good luck with things and I look forward to seeing you back on the field shortly. Take care.

Monday was spent watching the Gee-Gee’s take on Western here in Ottawa while following the twitter updates of the Mac vs. Laurier game. Congrats to fellow blogger Brad Sinopoli for driving his Gee-Gee offence down the field and scoring late to pick up the win over Western. Got to see the highlights of the Mac vs. Laurier game. Pretty impressive overcoming a 20 point deficit to pick up their second straight last second win.

Advocating for football prospects one story at a time.
