Thriving opportunity (VIDEO)

Kingston defensive back joins OUA team’s 2014 class.

Tyler Ling has found the perfect fit.

Recently, the 5ā€™9, 160 pound defensive back from Kingston, Ontario committed to the Ottawa Gee-Gees. He will join the team for the 2014 OUA season.

The main decisive factors in selecting the Gee-Gees were the strength of the football program, the facilities and atmosphere within the school as well as the community.

ā€œI chose to commit to Ottawa because I felt that the football program and coaches would give me the best possible opportunity to continue my career as a student athlete,ā€ said Ling of his decision. Ā ā€œI believe that they have a very strong program that is on the rise to be a top contender in not only the OUA but in the CIS.ā€

ā€œThe city of Ottawa is beautiful as well as the campus and facilities which surround the students and athletes with a positive atmosphere giving them the best opportunity to succeed both on and off the field.ā€
