The Blessed Trinity Thunder fell 14-2 to the St.Paul Patriots in both teams final regular season game on Wednesday.
St.Paul came right out of the gate with a touchdown on just the second play of the game for the Patriots offense. Quarterback Devin Kraushar found Colin OβConnor for a 15 yard pass and run in to the end zone for the early 7-0 lead.
The Thunder would get on the board with a Patriots safety late in the 2nd quarter.Β With a 3rd quarter full off sleet, the teams offenses slowed and the ball stayed on the ground.Β The Patriots took hold of the Thunder in the 4th with a 40 yard touchdown pass by Kraushar to Nick Caprara. Β This is all the Patriots would need to come out with the victory.
For the Thunder, the team loses their last game of the regular season and fall to 2-4 to end the season.
The team opens playoff Wednesday against the Lakeshore Gators in a whiteout, blackout battle.
The Thunder defeated the Gators 17-16 in week 5 and overall are 1-1 this season against Port Colborne’s finest.
Advocating for football prospects one story at a time.
