Toronto recruit envisions Hawks as Yates contender (VIDEO)

Toronto defensive lineman signs with OUA team.

Zachariah Houghron has found his home away from home.

Recently, the 6’3, 275 pound defensive lineman from Toronto, Ontario has signed with the Wilfrid Laurier Golden Hawks.  Houghron will join the team for the 2015 OUA season.

“I committed because I got a real sense of a home vibe,” elaborated Houghron.  “I enjoyed the visit Coach [Dwayne] Cameron and Coach [Michael] Faulds gave me of the campus.”

“It’s nice and small so it’s a community based school which I love. I also know a few of the guys already on the team and guys that committed. The program is great. The team is looking strong and most definitely a Yates contender and I would be a perfect fit into the defensive system.”

Previously, Houghron played for Humberside Huskies of the Toronto District Secondary School Athletic Association (TDSSAA), Toronto Jr Argos of the Ontario Football Conference (OFC) and Toronto Thunder of the Ontario Varsity Football League (OVFL).
