Toronto’s Akeel Lynch has huge game for St. Francis in Buffalo high school action


After having a good start in his first game at St Francis, Akeel had a breakout game in his second outing this past Saturday vs Holy Trinity. He had 170 yards rushing on 29 carries with 3 TDs. His outstanding effort earned him Connoly Cup honors, which is a weekly award for top performers.

Holy Trinity 21, St. Francis 19: The Red Raiders couldn’t recover from four turnovers, two of which led directly to scores for the Long Island visitors. “We believe we outplayed them, it’s one of those deals that if we don’t turn the ball over, we win the game,” said coach Jerry Smith.
Akeel Lynch rushed for 170 yards on 29 carries and three TDs. William Hudson had an interception.
