Recently, he finished his second season with Luther Lions of the Regina Intercollegiate Football League (RIFL). During his time with the Lions, he has been named an RIFL 3A Stewart Conference All-Star and the team’s Most Improved Player.

“The highlight of last season was beating the O’Neill Titans for the first time in years,” adds Kevin of the highlight of this past season.

Prior to joining the Lions, Kevin played another sport.

β€œI used to play soccer,” says Kevin. β€œit was a big change; I never thought I would play football.”

As for training, the Lions standout has chosen a specific workout to achieve particular goals.

“I prefer to do a mix of cardio to keep me in shape and weight lifting to build up my strength,” says Kevin.

The Lions lineman has a few main influences on and off the field.

β€œThe most influential people in my life are my parents and my brother,” says Kevin. Β “As for football my friend John Lerach, one of the other Luther linemen, has been a big influence for me.”

While he has not committed to a school as of yet, he is considering both the University of Alberta and the University of Saskatchewan.

β€œI have already visited the University of Saskatchewan and the University of Regina and I have seen the different programs they offer,” adds Kevin. Β “I’m considering the University of Saskatchewan because they have an exceptional campus and football team.”

At either school, he plans on furthering his education in the hopes of achieving his career goals.

β€œFor the future I hope to go to the University of Saskatchewan or the University of Alberta for dentistry and maybe open my own dentistry office some time in the future,” says Kevin.

Overall, it has been an interesting recruitment process for the Lions standout.

β€œThe process has been difficult; there are so many schools and amazing football teams,” adds Kevin.

Advocating for football prospects one story at a time.
