Tradition of Western Mustangs football impressed commit

Western adds an out-of-province commit to their Class of 2017.

It’s time for a little change of scenery for Reese Morrison, a receiver from Abbotsford Senior Secondary School, who will be swapping British Columbia for southern Ontario after signing with the Western University Mustangs.

“It’s a really great school,” Morrison said. “I love the atmosphere and the tradition of the football team. They have a pretty good program going on there and their coaching staff is among the top in Ontario for sure.”

It was more than just football that caught Morrison’s eye. The future criminology student added that Western had the classes that he wants and it is a good academic school.

The 6’4, 185lbs nine-year veteran hails from Abbotsford, BC. He has played with the Abbotsford Falcons (Valley Community Football League), winning a championship with the team in 2009. He has also played with the Abbotsford Middle School Huskies (BC Federation of School Athletics Association) and the Abbotsford Senior Panthers (BCFSAA).

Advocating for football prospects one story at a time.
