Twin City Predators ink Arnott to contract extension

Twin City Predators Football of the CJFL is proud to announce that Head Coach Tom Arnott has agreed to a contract extension for the 2013 CJFL Season.

“I am very excited that we could reach an agreement with Tom. This agreement is a significant step towards our goal of an Ontario Football Conference Championship” said Jim Macarthur, Director of Football Operations.

Tom Arnott took over the reigns of the newest team in the CJFL last season and spent the year learning the organization, his key players, team leaders and the CJFL as a whole.

“Although I was aware of the CJFL and some of the great Canadian Football stars that have come from the league, I had no first hand experience with it” said Arnott, “so it was an interesting season getting to know, not only our team but the key people in the other teams as well”. “There are a lot of great coaches with extensive Pro or University coaching and playing experience in this league.”

Arnottā€™s first order of business is to confirm his Coaching staff, which he hopes to do by Mid-February so that they can get to work on recruiting key players from an extensive list of prospects for 2013.

The Predators is the newest team in the CJFL and compete against 7 other teams in the Ontario Football Conference.Ā  The “Preds” recruit players from all over Southern Ontario with most of the players coming from KW, Cambridge and Guelph.

The Canadian Junior Football League was established in 1883 and consists of 20 teams in three conferences. The Ontario, Prairie and BC conferences compete for a National Championship, The Canadian Bowl held each November.

Advocating for football prospects one story at a time.
