Twin City predators playoff bound

After this weekend’s action in Waterloo, all three Twin Cities Predators in the OFC Varsity Division move on to play in semi-final games.

SENIOR VARSITY:
The defending champion Predators capped off their season with a win over Chatham in the final regular season game. Coach Cam Stevens Predators went undefeated in 2010 with seven wins and a tie. Their impressive record earns them home-field advantage when they again face the fourth place Cougars (3 wins, 5 losses) on the afternoon of Saturday, 31 July at University Stadium.

JUNIOR VARSITY (Tier 1):
Coach Adam Ziegler and the JV Preds settled for third place (4-3-1) in their level, meaning a trip down highway 8 to meet the second place Hamilton-Wentworth Panthers (5-2-1) this coming weekend. In the regular season the Preds and Panthers played twice with a 21-21 tie, and a 10-7 Predators win as the outcome.

BANTAM VARSITY:
With a record of seven wins and one loss, Coach Kevin Cumby’s Bantam Preds earned second spot by virtue of a season opening win over Sarnia Sturgeon who subsequently went on to finish the 2010 season with an identical 7-1 record. As a result, it is the team from Sarnia who will travel to Waterloo this Saturday to determine a finalist in the crowded 10 team Bantam level. Game time will be 11:00 a.m. at University Stadium.

OFC VARSITY FINALS
Twin Cities Predators are on track to realize their collective goal of having all three teams in their respective championship games as we host the OFC Finals for 2010. Get out to support the Preds for the semi-final games and on the Championship Weekend on 8 August.

Advocating for football prospects one story at a time.
