When playing for the Nashwaaksis Nordics, Lafleur won the the award for Most Outstanding Running Back and with the Leo Hayes Lions of the New Brunswick High School Football League (NBHSFL), he has won awards for Most Outstanding Rookie as well as most Outstanding Bantam Player.

It’s not difficult for Lafleur to stay active, as he is involved with other sports besides football. He works out four times a week and currently tries to get on the field at least once or twice a week. Lafleur mentioned that his main goal this off-season is to work on his route running.

He describes the highlight of last year as when his team won provincials for the second year in a row.

Lafleur stated that he is open to any university that he can get a scholarship to, and hopes that he can get recognized in his next two years of varsity football. He has talked to a couple of coaches at the university level but nothing serious has come from those discussions yet. Lafleur admits that it is hard to get noticed by universities when playing at the junior varsity level, but he hopes that schools scouting his team will see what he can do for them.

In life, Lafleur looks up to his sister for inspiration, as she plays basketball at the university level, receiving many awards not just for her play on the court, but for her academical achievements as well.

Advocating for football prospects one story at a time.
