University of Saskatchewan

The University of Saskatchewan Huskies have announced a local signing. CFC100 RB Brody Nelson has agreed to sign with his local university team.

“I chose the University of Saskatchewan because it is a good school, and the Huskies have a strong football program,” he responds. “Also, it is close to home.”

Brody will be enrolling in the Faculty of Kinesiology.

He has played peewee and bantam football for the Martensville Mad Dogs, and high school ball in Martensville for the Royals. Brody has also joined U16 North Saskatchewan twice and U16 Team Saskatchewan.

The Huskies signed Brody Nelson on November 9th, 2021.

The Saskatchewan Huskies are pleased to welcome another local product. Wide receiver Tyrus Flory is now a member of his home-town team, the Huskies.

Tyrus will be a big target for the quarterback at 6’2, 190lbs.

He was recently a member of the Holy Cross Crusaders in the Kinsmen Football League.

On the 23rd of November 2021, Tyrus Flory agreed to terms with the University of Saskatchewan Huskies.

University of Alberta

The University of Alberta will be welcoming a new cornerback to their defensive backfield in 2022. CB Jaxon Vandenberghe is one the latest recruits for the Golden Bears.

“Their priority of academics over everything else was the biggest selling point for me,” he states.

Jaxon is planning on pursuing a mechanical engineering degree.

At 6’1, 150lbs Jaxon has played mostly corner halfback and safety. He also spent a little time at quarterback and wide receiver in grade 10. On November 5th, 2021, Jaxon Vandenberghe agreed to sign with the University of Alberta.

An offensive lineman from Grande Prairie will call Edmonton home in 2022. OG Matt Ljuden has signed and is now a Golden Bear.

Matt is an offensive guard. He stands at 6’0, 300lbs. The University of Alberta Golden Bears recruited Matt Ljuden on November 25, 2021.

University of Manitoba

The Manitoba Bisons have made a signing from the nation’s capital. Athlete Mason Boomhower will make the trek to Manitoba in 2022.

Mason spent his high school years with St. Marks Football in the OFSAA.

He will be studying Kinesiology at the University of Manitoba.

On November 12th, 2021, Mason Boomhower joined the Manitoba Bisons.

A new wide receiver has been added to the Manitoba Bisons roster. WR Brendt Adams comes to the herd from the CJFL’s Calgary Colts.

The Bisons new receiver stands at 6’2, 175lbs.

Brendt graduated from St. Francis High School (ASAA) in 2019. He spent the last couple of years on the CJFL’s Calgary Colts.

The Manitoba Bisons landed their new wide receiver on November 9th, 2021.

University of Regina

The Regina Rams have signed a local defensive back. DB Jonah Thomas will wear the green and gold of the Rams in 2022.

Jonah played football for the LeBoldus Golden Suns (RIFL) during his high school years.

He will be enrolling in Business Administration at the U of R.

The University of Regina Rams signed Jonah Thomas on November 15th, 2021.

A defensive lineman from the Saskatoon Hilltops (CJFL) has made his way onto a U Sports team. The Regina Rams have picked up DL Jesse McNabb for the 2022 campaign.

Jesse stands at 6’2, 250lbs. He will be studying Education at the University of Regina.

Jesse McNabb agreed to join the Regina Rams on November 14, 2021.

A running back has signed with the Regina Rams. RB Olivier Simard will make the trip from Saguenay to Regina next year.

Olivier is planning on studying business administration. He played for the CEGEP Limoilou Titans and stands at 5’10, 190lbs.

On November 12, 2021, Olivier Simard became a Regina Ram.
