UBC ‘felt like home’ for Victoria recruit

Victoris halfback/tight end joins CWUAA team’s 2015 class.

Edgar Nelson will be staying in his home province to commence his CIS career.

Recently, the 6’3, 230 pound halfback/tight end from Victoria committed to the University of British Columbia (UBC) Thunderbirds. Nelson will join the team for the 2015 CWUAA season.

“I chose UBC because it felt like home the moment I stepped on campus and I really like where Coach [Blake] Nill is going with the program,” expressed Nelson.  “He has a track record of success and I’m very excited to work hard and hopefully be a part of something special.”

Nelson has previously suited up for the Belmont Bulldogs of the British Columbia High School Football Association (BCHSFA).
