UBC adds two BC commits to their 2019 class.
Already familiar with one another, running back Charles Lemay and tight end Brad Hladik from Vernon Secondary School will be continuing their journey together on the University of British Columbia Thunderbirds.
Charles Lemay
Content to stay in the province of his birth, Charles Lemay of Vernon, BC, will be heading to the pacific coast for school. “I chose UBC because I like the mentality in the facility and I trust the coaching staff,” he said. “They seem very impressive with winning and winning Vanier Cups.”
A Vernon Panther (BCSSAA) for four years, Lemay won an AA championship with the team. He was also an AA player of the year. He participated in the 2017 Fox 40 Prospect Challenge based in BC. Standing at 5’11, 200lbs, he is interested in taking business commerce.
Brad Hladik
Brad Hladik, who is also from Vernon, BC, is a former member of the Panthers. He played with the Okanagan Sun (CJFL) in 2018. The 6’2, 200lbs athlete played in the 2017 Fox 40 Prospect Challenge as a member of Team BCHS. He scored a touchdown in the game.
