UBC Football should know where it is playing football in the coming years by the end of this month. A decision is expected to be handed down from the President’s office sometime this month in advance of the NCAA June 1st deadline for application to NCAA Division II. The football T-birds would play in the G.N.A.C. conference if the move to the NCAA Div. II occurs.
On April 16, 2009, the UBC Executive announced that it was deferring its decision on the application to join NCAA Division II pending additional information.

A consultation report that updates the 2009 Review Committee Report has now been prepared, and is available below. It reviews the issues as they currently stand.
Input will be sought from the UBC community on this matter over the next several months. In addition to direct consultation with a range of UBC groups and open meetings, all University community members will be invited to submit input and feedback before a decision is made.
A decision is expected on this matter by April, 2011, in advance of the next NCAA Division II application deadline of June 1, 2011.
