Playing football since the age of six, one thing is for sure, Tristan Ferenczy loves football and it is definitely something he’d like to do at the CIS level.

Having played for the Burlington Stampeders of the Ontario Football Conference (OFC), Β he’s gained a lot of experience throughout his career while currently playing his high school team, the Aldershot Lions of the Halton Secondary School Athletic Association (HSSAA).

The highlight of his career so far took place when the Stampeders defeated the Hamilton Hurricanes

“It’s a rivalry game, so it felt great,” says Tristan, who has participated in several all-star games.

While he has experienced a lot during his career, he has learned what it takes to be successful in the sport.

“It’s not easy,” says the Lions defensive lineman. Β “It takes a lot of commitment and a lot of training to do well.”

As for his main influences, he is inspired from both his mother and NFL great Patrick Lewis.

Tristan has plans for the future off the field, including attending open houses to learn more about the academic side of university where he plans to study law enforcement so he can one day become an RCMP officer.

Tristan has not garnered a whole lot of attention from CIS programs, but he plans to keep training.

“I am working as hard as I possibly can everyday following the lean hybrid muscle regimen,” says Tristan.

Currently Tristan plans to learn more about universities since he is still a few years away from making the big decision.

Advocating for football prospects one story at a time.
