Underhill next St. Mary’s defensive coordinator?

All signs point to Rob Underhill becoming the St. Mary’s Huskies next defensive coordinator.

Underhill recently resigned his post as head coach of the Senior Hamilton Ironmen (OVFL) and has been closely linked with SMU head coach Perry Marchese for many years (both are Hamilton natives).  The two have coached together with the Ironmen and Team Ontario.

Underhill has been involved with the Ironmen organization for the past 12 years.  His affiliation with Team Ontario included head coach for the past 5 years (2 bronze medals) and as an assistant previous to that.  The past 2 seasons Underhill has been a defensive assistant with the McMaster Marauders.  He is the defensive coordinator for the Team Ontario Selects U17 squad heading to Austin in late January.

Underhill would be the 4th Defensive Coordinator at St. Mary’s since Blake Nill left the post in early 2006.  Other three were  Devin Murphy (2011-12), Danny Laramee (2008-2010), and Mike McLean (2006-2007)

Advocating for football prospects one story at a time.
