UofA commits excited to join team

Alberta welcomes two local commits to their 2019 class.

Athlete Brett Muth from Harry Ainlay High School and offensive lineman James Sentell from Strathcona High School have decided early on in the recruitment period that there was no better place to play than at home with the University of Alberta Golden Bears.

Brett Muth

A resident of Edmonton, Alberta, Brett Muth never overlooked his hometown university. “The University of Alberta has always been a post-secondary option for me and when I got an offer to play football for them, I was really excited,” he said. “With the academic benefits and extra help that is offered alongside the football program, it is an amazing addition that was an important part of my decision.”

Muth, who is interested in taking a bachelor of science, is already familiar with the team’s coaching style. He said he has been coached by Head Coach Morris and a few other members of the staff before. “They are all amazing at what they do,” he said. “They find ways to bring out the best in their players.”

In his seven-year career, Muth has played for the Edmonton Mustangs (CDMFA) and the Edmonton Chargers (CDMFA). He is a current member of the Harry Ainlay Titans (MEHSFL). The 6’1, 215lbs slotback won a Tier 1 provincial championship with the Titans in 2017.

James Sentell

James Sentell is from Strathcona, Alberta, which is a neighbourhood in Edmonton, Alberta. It is located relatively close to the University of Alberta. He is a member of the Strathcona Lords (MEHSFL). He is 6’2, 270lbs.

Advocating for football prospects one story at a time.
