The potential criminology student from Vernon, BC, started his eight-year career in high school with the Clarence Fulton Maroons (BC High School Football AA). He then played a year of city football with the Vernon Magnums in the Vancouver Mainland Football League before joining the Kamloops Broncos (CJFL) for three years. He was a two-time recipient of the coaches’ choice award in 2009 and 2010. In 2012, he was a top lineman.
