Following suit

CEGEP lineman joins CFC TOP 100 friend as newest recruit for Vanier Cup Champions 2014 class.

On the heels of CFC TOP 100 Mathieu Roy-Fortin committing to Vanier Cup Champions Laval Rouge et Or, his teammate and friend has followed suit.

Samuel Vacon Desroches has decided to join the Laval Rouge et Or for the 2014 RSEQ season.Β  The 6’0, 300 pound offensive lineman from Quebec City, Quebec believed that the local CIS school provide a lot of potential possibilities and was impressed with what he saw during his official visit to the campus.

β€œI choose Laval because it’s a big opportunity for me to play in front of 18 000 people in the city that I came from,” commented Vacon Desroches of his commitment.Β  β€œAlso when I visited the Rouge et Or facilities I just fell in love with the program.”

β€œAt Laval, I have the chance to be coached by Carl Brennan, one of Canada’s best offensive lineman coaches. Also, I will play with my good old friend Mathieu Roy-Fortin who I have known for 12 years.”

The Quebec offensive lineman recently completed his CEGEP career with Division 1 team, Limoilou Titans, where he played at the guard and center positions.
