Vanier Cheetahs place first after dominating FX-Garneau in final game

CHEETAHS SIEZE FIRST PLACE ON THE LAST GAME
DOMINATE FX-GARNEAU TO FINISH SEASON WITH 9-1 RECORD

With FX-Garneau and the Cheetahs being the only teams with identical 8-1 records and only one game left to play between these very same teams, the stage was set for a dramatic last game to confirm which team would finish the season in first place. The AAA Football Cheetahs removed all doubt of who deserves league bragging rights by taking a more-than-convincing 53-0 road victory on Saturday evening. Game details coming soon. Next: playoffs VS Lennoxville at Concordia Field on Nov 6th at 1 PM.
Certainly a highlight of the game was Matthew Norzil’s amazing 4 touchdown performance, which led to his breaking the all-time record for pass receiving yardage previously held by Frank Bruno in the 2006 season. But really, what else can you say about record-breaking quarterback Jérémi Roch? He added no fewer than 4 TD passes to his all-time record of passing TDs in a season AND in a career. He also padded 3 other QB records that he established earlier this year. We can’t wait to see what the team will do in the playoffs!

Advocating for football prospects one story at a time.
