Vanier Cup champs land second 2015 CFC 100 recruit

Laval – On the heels of CFC 100 Samuel Thomassin commitment this past August, CFC 100 offensive lineman Pierre-Karl Lanctot today confirmed his commitment with the Rouge et Or for the 2015 season.

The offensive lineman currently plays for CEGEP Division 2’s Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu Geants and will make his debut at Laval University in January, allowing him to participate in the Rouge et Or’s spring camp.  Like Thomassin Lanctôt make his university choice faster, in order to focus on his last academic session and on football.

“We are very excited about the arrival of a player with the Pierre-Karl’s calibre, ” commented Rouge et Or Head Coach Glen Constantin.  “It will certainly fill a need at that position, where several players will leave in the short term.”

A native of Dorval, Lanctôt represented Canada at the last under-20 IFAF World Championship in Kuwait this past July, where he helped the team win the silver medal. The 6’4 and 280 pound CFC 100 offensive lineman has previously had the opportunity to work with Rouge et Or Assistant Coach Brad Collinson.
