Varsity Blues add depth to offence, add 3

Toronto adds three GTA commits to their 2018 class.

Athlete Jared Currie from Nelson High School and wide receivers Denis Khavin from Upper Canada College and Michael Lehmann from Football North Clarkson will be handing around the Greater Toronto Area for the next few years after signing with the University of Toronto Varsity Blues.

Jared Currie

Jared Currie is from Burlington, Ontario, where he played with the Nelson Lords (HSSAA) as a quarterback and slotback. In 2016, as a quarterback, Currie helped the Lords win a Halton championship as well as their first Golden Horseshoe Bowl since 2011. They beat the St. Marcellinus Spirit 27-6. The following year, the 6’4, 200lbs athlete helped the team to back-to-back Halton championships.

Denis Khavin

In high school, Denis Khavin played with the Upper Canada College Blues (CISAA). The 6’2, 165lbs wide receiver and cornerback is from Toronto, Ontario.

Michael Lehmann

Before joining Football North Clarkson, Michael Lehmann played with the Nelson Lords in his hometown of Burlington, Ontario. He was a member of the team that won the Golden Horseshoe Bowl. In 2017, Lehmann was featured in the Fox 40 Prospect Challenge where he was named as a top varsity performer.
