Upon his commitment, Brodeur issued the following statement to CanadaFootballChat.com regarding his commitment:

“I committed to Sherbrooke because I already felt like home the second I walked in. I had other offers but there was something special about Sherbrooke.”

“The team spirit is incredible, I never experienced anything like this in my football career. The coaching staff is amazing and I admire their authenticity. They will always give you their honest opinion and as players we feel like we can count on them. The bond between the coaches and the athletes is very special, we can go to them with personal matters and they keep the relationship very professional.”

“The two main goals at Sherbrooke University are winning the Vanier Cup and graduating in our field of study. The school and the coaching staff are, like the athletes, committed achieving these goals. They do everything in their power to help us get where we want to be as men and as athletes.”

“I am happy to finally connect with my coaches in a way that I never could with some of my coaches in the past. I trust their decisions and i believe in them. I am very positive that in the next 5 years, the Vert & Or football team will accomplish big things.”

“The city of Sherbrooke is wonderful, we feel the passion and the support of the entire community. My teammates are as wonderful and supportive as our fans.”

“The first day I moved here I felt part of a new family. We all live near each other and it makes it easier to bond and build a solid foundation within the team. Even when I was a little, I imagined myself going to Sherbrooke University. It feels so right to be a part of this organization.”

“The last main reason that made me commit to this team is the fact that the programs are specific. I always wanted to be a doctor and i felt like i could achieve my dream here more than anywhere else.”
