Vert et Or lands Carabins transfer (VIDEO)

Former CEGEP offensive lineman moves over to RSEQ team.

Felix Lacoursiere wanted a change of scenery.

Recently, the 6’1, 291 pound offensive lineman (left guard) from Saint Saveur, Quebec transferred to Sherbrooke Vert et Or.

Previous to the Vert et Or, Lacoursiere was with the Montreal Carabins.

However, his decision ultimately came down to one major factor.

“I transferred from Montreal to Sherbrooke because of my academics,” offered the offensive lineman.  “I’ve been accepted in business at Sherbrooke and took the opportunity.”

During his CEGEP career with Division 1 team, Champlain-Lennoxville Cougars, Lacoursiere always kept an eye on the Vert et Or and familiarized himself with the team.

“Since I played my CEGEP at Lennoxville, I’ve always appreciate Sherbrooke,” expressed Lacoursiere.  “I knew I would be surrounded with a great group of people with the Vert et Or.”

“My good friend who play on the offensive line, Pierre Olivier Grad committed to Sherbrooke as well so it makes me believe that the Vert et Or offensive line will be one of the best in the country.”

With his transfer, he is looking forward to making an impact while being instructed by one of the top coaches.

“I have a lot of respect and trust for my coach Mathieu Pronovost,” added Lacoursiere.  “He’s one of the best O-Line coaches in the country.”

“The Vert et Or will be a competitive program for the future.”
