Vert & Or family struck at heart of DT commit

Sherbrooke brings in a Québec commit to their Class of 2017.

Jordan Lagacé, a defensive tackle from Cégep du Rimouski, is itching to get out on the field with his new team, the University of Sherbrooke Vert & Or.

“I chose Sherbrooke for all their academic support, the big spirit of family and I love all the team’s values,” he said. “I will start to train with the Vert & Or at the beginning of the summer to start playing for the 2017 season.”

Lagacé’s career has been five years in the making. Standing at 6’4, 255lbs, he is ready to grow with the Vert & Or family. “I think the Vert & Or have a very good coaching staff with a lot of experience and they can help me to become a better person,” he said.

The future mechanical engineering student has played one season with Les Gladiateurs de Matane (RSEQ) in high school and four with Les Pionniers de Rimouski (RSEQ Division 3) in cégep. He is originally from Sainte-Félicité, Québec, which is north-east on Ottawa. Last year, he was nominated for best lineman of the year.

Advocating for football prospects one story at a time.
