Victoria rebels RB Sam Adu profile

The Victoria Rebels finished 6-4 and in third place in 2009 as they completed in the post season.

Running back Sam Adu was one of the main reasons the Rebels found themselves back in the BCFC semi final and has returned for this third season in the BCFC.

In 2009 Adu led the Rebels in rushing and was second in the BCFC. He rushed for 789 yards, scored nine touchdowns and averaged 10.1 yards per carry. He would be named a BCFC All Star

His most productive day last season was August 8 in Kamloops. He would finish with 214 yards, scored three touchdowns and averaged 16.1 yards per carry. During the Rebels 48-22 win the Victoria native tallied the longest run from scrimmage in the BCFC last season, scampering 82 yards.

Adu was also a threat out of the back field with five receptions for 89 yards and a touchdown last season.

Without BCFC rookie of the year, Yannick Rickli, Adu will have to carry the load this season if the Rebels have any hope in returning to the post season.

The Rebels will play a home and home against the South Surrey Rams next weekend.
