Western lands Georgetown recruit (VIDEO)

Georgetown athlete joins OUA team’s 2015 class.

The Western Mustangs have landed their second recruit of the 2015 recruitment season.

Tanner Cadwallader is the newest member of the Mustangs.  Recently, the 5’11, 200 pound athlete from Georgetown, Ontario has signed with the Yates Cup Champions and will join the team for the 2015 OUA season,

Ultimately, the combination of academics as well as the strength and positive values of the football program made it the perfect fit for Cadwallader.

“First and foremost, I chose Western for its excellent academic reputation,” explained the Ontario athlete of his commitment.  “In addition, I am very inspired by the spirit of family and positive values that are exhibited by the team’s players and coaches.”

“By combining academics, positive mentorship and a sense of community, I believe Western’s program will help me develop as both a football player and student.”

Cadwallader is currently completing his final season with Christ the King Jaguars of the Halton Secondary School Athletic Association (HSSAA).  Moreover, he has suited up for the North Halton Crimson Tide of the Ontario Football Conference (OFC).

Once he arrives at Western, the Ontario standout will switch from the pivot to the slotback position.
