Western Mustangs announce 2011 Recruiting Class (Video Interviews)


London, ON – The University of Western Mustangs football team, winners of three of the past four, Ontario Yates Cup championships announced their 2011 preliminary recruiting class at a media conference today.

The Mustangs recruiting class consists of 30 individuals, including seven from London, Ontario five the Kitchener-Waterloo region, four from Greater Hamilton and several from out of province.

Head coach Greg Marshall commented that “we had an outstanding recruiting year. We picked up two of the top five recruits in the country and the breath of talent across the entire recruiting class
is tremendous.”

Coach Marshall was also quick to point out the work of his staff indicating that “Our coaching staff dialed it up a notch this off-season to secure one of the top recruiting classes in the nation. While this
was a team effort, coach (Mickey) Donovan and Coach (Chris) Bertoia were leaders in this area”.
