Did you know that Calgary has a womenβs football team? The Calgary Rage is one of seven teams in the Western Womenβs Canadian Football League, including the Edmonton Storm, Lethbridge Steel, Manitoba Fearless, Regina Riot, Saskatoon Valkyries and Winnipeg Nomads-Wolf Pack.

Lethbridge Steel was the third team to join the league, after the Calgary Rage and the Edmonton Storm. Okotoks and Red Deer both have teams in development.
The WWCFL is open to players of at least 16 years of age, and no experience is necessary. They are hosting a league training day on March 24 in Red Deer, Alta., and player development days on May 4 and 5.
The first game of the season is on May 12. The Calgary Rage and Edmonton Storm will square off in Edmonton, Alta.
