Westshore Rebels Getting Ready for Their Home Opener

Victoria, BC, Canada – August 17, 2017 – The Westshore Rebels are ready and excited for their home opener on Saturday at 3pm against the Langley Rams at Westhills Stadium. Due to turf maintenance the Rebels had no choice but to play their first 3 games on the road. With a 2-1 record the Westshore Rebels have started out strong and are looking to bring home a win on their home turf this weekend.

Starting Running Back, Trey Campbell will be back on the field after a broken finger in the first game of the season had him sitting on the bench. Watch for late addition, Jevante Stanley, Slot Back from Brampton Ontario who played on the U18 national team and for the Brampton Bulldogs, D’Saun Greenaway, 6’5 Wide Receiver and CJFL offensive player of the game against the Suns who played for York University and Team Canada and Ovie Akpeneye, Defensive Line who played for Guelph Varsity Gryphons to bring explosiveness to the game.

“I am extremely excited to play in front of our home town fans and continue our winning streak at Westhills stadium. I was raised in Victoria and have strong roots here both on and off the field. Family day is a new addition to this season and we hope to see many families at the game enjoying our game day experience, it is going to be an exciting day,” says Coach Cardilicchia.

Gates open at 2pm for family day activities brought to you by Coast Capital Savings including games, prizes, balloon animals and a candy toss at half-time. Kick-off is at 3pm!
