Win-win for Croken & Football Alberta

Connor Croken is now a part of history.

This past Friday, the 20 year old walked into the Edmonton Eskimos office to cash in his winning ticket in one of the biggest jackpots in the history of 50/50 raffles.

Croken’s ticket was drawn after 170,000 tickets were printed.  His winnings totalled $348,534 – which he will not have to pay taxes on.  The other half of the money raised will go to Football Alberta to provide funding for amateur football in the province.

A major reason this resulted in one of the biggest jackpots in 50/50 history is that a previous jackpot from an Eskimos game on July 11th carried over because no one claimed the prize of $66, 812.

Advocating for football prospects one story at a time.
